UltraIterator and UltraIterator Demo ยท last updated 26 October 2026

In short: UltraIterator doesn't collect, store or share any personal information. There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. This policy covers both apps, UltraIterator and UltraIterator Demo, made by Dan Wills.

Audio

The fractals move to sound, so the app can listen to your microphone, or to the audio your phone is playing (Android shows its own consent prompt for that). The sound is turned into a few numbers, how loud each pitch range is, many times a second, on your phone. It is never recorded, saved or sent anywhere, and the app stops listening when you leave it.

Your music (UltraIterator only)

The full app can play music from a folder you choose with Android's folder picker. It only reads the files there in order to play them, on your phone.

Settings

Your settings and presets are saved on your phone. If you export them, they go to a file you choose, and importing reads a file you choose. Nothing about them leaves your phone unless you share that file yourself.

The fractal images

The images are downloaded from a server run on Cloudflare and kept in the app's cache on your phone. Like any web server, Cloudflare receives your IP address and basic request details in order to deliver the images, and may keep them briefly in its logs for security and reliability; see Cloudflare's privacy policy. I don't use this to identify or track anyone.

Children

The apps aren't aimed at children, and they don't knowingly collect information from anyone, of any age.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
